On-site issue: During the design and selection stage, whether the heater can stably output under explosion-proof rating requirements and whether its medium compatibility meets process conditions is often more critical than simply pursuing power rating. Taking the FBR-16 stainless steel explosion-proof heater as an example, its parameter configuration must be confirmed in combination with specific working conditions.
This series of heaters can be designed with a voltage range of 12–660V and a single-unit power range of 50W–20KW. The wiring cavity adopts an explosion-proof structure, with a waterproof connector matched with the enclosure, making it convenient to connect in humid environments or those containing corrosive gases. The control cabinet can be equipped to achieve closed-loop temperature regulation, reducing manual intervention.
The heating tube material can be selected from carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, or titanium tube, matched to different media such as water, oil, steam, and metal solutions. A scale-resistant coating can be added to the surface to slow down heat transfer degradation caused by scaling. During design and selection, the medium name, concentration, and operating temperature must be provided to facilitate confirmation of the sheath material.
In stainless steel explosion-proof heaters, surface load directly affects tube wall temperature and service life. The surface load of some specifications can reach 2–4 times that of air heating conditions, but the specific value should be calculated based on medium flow state, vessel dimensions, and allowable tube wall temperature, and should not be simply selected according to power density.
The product has multiple protections such as an enclosure and waterproof connector, and the design service life can be referenced as more than 10,000 hours for maintenance planning. During installation, attention must be paid to matching the flange or threaded interface with the tank opening, and maintenance space should be reserved. For explosion-proof locations, it should be confirmed that the electrical connection meets the requirements of the corresponding explosion-proof zone.
