Reactor jacket temperature failing to rise, high medium viscosity at the bottom of storage tanks, and pipe heat tracing sections feeling cold to the touch are several common problems in on-site operation and maintenance. During troubleshooting, first check whether the heating element terminal connections are loose and whether insulation has degraded, then confirm whether the element's power and immersion length match the working conditions. The FJ-45 flanged electric heating tube adopts a flange plate mounting method, with the electric heating elements centrally fixed on the flange plate, facilitating overall assembly and disassembly at reserved interfaces on tanks or pipes, and eliminating the need to drain the entire tank during maintenance.
This model uses the flange plate as the positioning and sealing surface. During installation, use corresponding gaskets according to on-site flange specifications. Tighten bolts in a diagonal sequence in multiple passes to avoid deformation of the flange face caused by unilateral stress. The effective length immersed in oil is determined by the inner diameter of the tank or pipe. It is recommended to maintain appropriate spacing between the element end and the tank wall to prevent localized temperature concentration. Reliable insulation should be ensured between the element lead rods and the junction box. The junction box cover sealing ring should be replaced promptly once aged.
The allowable working voltage error shall not exceed 1.1 times its rated value; exceeding this range will affect element lifespan. The design temperature is considered as 130°C, suitable for scenarios such as reactor jacket heating, storage tank insulation, pipe heat tracing, and small oil tank heating. When multiple elements are used simultaneously, it is recommended to distribute power evenly across each phase to reduce three-phase current imbalance. The control circuit can be combined with temperature sensors and contactors to achieve on-off regulation, avoiding long-term full-power operation.
Routine inspections mainly focus on three items: whether terminal connections show heating and discoloration, whether there are leakage traces on the flange face, and whether there is scaling or carbon buildup on the element surface. Scaling impedes heat transfer, causing the element surface temperature to rise. Regular cleaning can be scheduled based on medium conditions. During shutdown periods, power should be disconnected and tagged. Before resuming use, measure insulation resistance before energizing. If multiple elements fail simultaneously, verify the actual operating voltage and medium liquid level to confirm whether low liquid level dry burning or excessively high voltage exists.
