In the circulating water cooling section of a chemical plant, plate heat exchangers handle the heat exchange between process media and cooling water. The BR-75 plate heat exchanger provides actionable inspection points for parameter verification and seal management in on-site operations and maintenance.
During shift handover, verify the inlet and outlet temperatures on the hot and cold sides, the design flow rate, and the allowable pressure drop, and confirm that actual operating conditions do not exceed the nameplate range. When the pressure drop rises abnormally, first check whether the flow channels between plates are scaled or blocked.
The gasket material must be compatible with the medium to avoid swelling or hardening that could cause leakage. During patrol inspection, observe whether the gasket is deformed or cracked, pay attention to the influence of plate thickness and corrugation pattern on heat transfer efficiency, and promptly record any signs of leakage and arrange replacement.
When replenishing spare parts, confirm whether the plate material, gasket material, connection flange standard, design pressure, and temperature match the on-site piping; require the supplier to provide material certificates and pressure test reports for archiving and traceability.
