The SLR-45 jacketed heat exchanger is designed and manufactured in accordance with GB/T 151-2014 "Heat Exchangers" and is suitable for cooling or heating media such as mineral oil and neutral water. This model has a nominal heat transfer area of 4.5 square meters, a design pressure of 1.6 MPa, and an operating temperature range of -20°C to 150°C. The shell material can be carbon steel or stainless steel, and the heat exchange tubes are seamless steel tubes or stainless steel tubes.
Plate heat exchangers are compact in structure and have high heat transfer efficiency, but they have relatively high requirements for medium cleanliness, and the sealing gaskets are prone to aging at high temperatures. The SLR-45 jacketed heat exchanger adopts a shell-and-tube structure with wider flow channels, is insensitive to particulate matter in the medium, and uses welded or flanged connections for sealing, making it suitable for industrial sites with high vibration or media containing impurities. Under the same heat transfer capacity, its volume is approximately 1.5 times that of a plate heat exchanger, but its maintenance cycle is longer.
Conventional shell-and-tube heat exchangers are not equipped with a jacket structure, resulting in relatively large heat losses. The SLR-45 adds an insulation jacket on the outside of the shell to reduce heat dissipation losses and also prevent operators from contacting high-temperature surfaces. The jacket is detachable, facilitating inspection of shell corrosion. Compared with bare-tube heat exchangers of the same specification, its outer surface temperature can be reduced by approximately 15°C.
Selection requires the medium name, flow rate, inlet temperature, outlet temperature, allowable pressure drop, and installation space. Carbon steel jackets are suitable for mineral oil and neutral water media, but are not suitable for long-term contact with weakly acidic or weakly alkaline solutions; stainless steel jackets are suitable for applications requiring corrosion resistance. Connection sizes can be customized according to DN50 to DN200 flange standards.
