During design and selection, if the medium temperature fluctuation exceeds the temperature resistance range of the gasket, it will cause accelerated aging of the sealing gasket, and microcracks may also appear at the welded parts due to concentrated thermal stress. The YBJ-70 welded plate heat exchanger has been adapted in the plate pair welded joints and sealing structure for such working conditions. The following lists the selection points from the perspective of application scenarios.
When the reaction heat release causes periodic temperature changes, it is necessary to calculate the medium flow rate and pressure drop in the plate channels to avoid local overheating. During selection, the medium name, concentration, and temperature range should be provided to facilitate evaluation of the adaptability of the plate material and welding process.
The allowable working voltage error shall not exceed 1.1 times the rated value, and the shell should be effectively grounded. The installation location needs to reserve maintenance space to facilitate observation of the sealing gasket condition and tightening operations.
The surface of the plates in contact with the medium should meet cleanliness requirements, and the interface orientation is determined according to the pipeline layout. During operation, it is recommended to monitor medium temperature fluctuations to prevent overheating from causing sealing gasket aging or welding stress concentration.
It is necessary to confirm that the pressure difference between the medium side and the hot side is within the allowable range. The plate thickness and welding process are selected according to the working condition parameters. Regular inspection of pressure drop changes can serve as a reference for judging channel scaling.
