When selecting heat exchange equipment for process sections involving corrosive media or requiring dew-point corrosion control, procurement personnel often face a practical problem: ordinary shell-and-tube heat exchangers tend to condense and accumulate dust on low-temperature wall surfaces, resulting in short maintenance cycles, whereas heat pipe heat exchangers transfer heat through working fluid phase change, with the hot and cold sides independent of each other, reducing the risk of cross-contamination. The HGR-51 heat pipe heat exchanger is designed for this need and is suitable for use in working conditions where the temperature range is relatively stable and the medium composition is clearly defined.
The first is the temperature range of the heat source and cold source. The working temperature of the heat pipe must fall within the applicable range of the working fluid; exceeding the range will lead to reduced heat transfer capability or difficulty in startup. The second is the combination of medium concentration and temperature; the pipe material and working fluid combination must be determined based on compatibility test data to avoid the generation of non-condensable gases during operation that would affect heat transfer. For applications in flammable gas environments, the wiring chamber can use an explosion-proof structure, and a temperature controller can be built in as needed for local adjustment and protection.
The HGR-51 adopts a split-type heat pipe bundle arrangement, with separate hot and cold fluid channels, facilitating single-side maintenance. The pipe material and working fluid combination is selected based on medium compatibility test data, and the design pressure and interface specifications are confirmed according to on-site pipeline conditions. The equipment can be equipped with temperature monitoring interfaces for connection to existing control systems. The explosion-proof wiring chamber and built-in temperature controller are optional configurations; the environmental rating and adjustment method must be specified in the technical agreement at the time of procurement.
This model is suitable for waste heat recovery, process gas cooling, and heat exchange sections requiring isolation of hot and cold media. Before placing an order, procurement personnel should provide the medium name, concentration, inlet and outlet temperatures, allowable pressure drop, and installation space dimensions, so that the heat pipe bundle layout and interface orientation can be verified. For dusty or condensation-prone working conditions, dust removal and drainage measures should be clearly specified in the technical agreement.
