The GCS-80 finned tube heat exchanger is designed and manufactured in accordance with standards such as GB/T 151 "Heat Exchangers" and JB/T 4755 "Copper Pressure Vessels." The applicable ambient temperature is -20 to +60°C, relative humidity <80%, leakage current <0.5mA, and insulation resistance ≥20MΩ (as required by the associated electric heating elements). Procurement personnel can use these to verify on-site working conditions against the equipment nameplate parameters.
Under the same frontal area and air volume conditions, the heat exchange area of a finned tube heat exchanger can reach 5 to 8 times that of a bare tube heat exchanger, with a significant increase in heat exchange per unit volume. Compared with plate heat exchangers, the finned tube structure has stronger adaptability to dust-laden and fouling-prone media, and the cleaning cycle can be extended by approximately 30%. During procurement, if the medium contains particulate matter or requires regular mechanical cleaning, the finned tube solution is usually more advantageous in terms of maintenance costs.
Fin spacing should be selected based on the dust content of the medium: 2–3mm spacing can be used for clean gases, while 4–6mm is recommended for dust-laden gases to avoid ash accumulation and blockage. Tube materials commonly include 10# carbon steel and 304/316L stainless steel, with fin materials matching the tube material. Procurement personnel should provide four parameters: medium composition, flow rate, inlet and outlet temperatures, and allowable pressure drop, for the supplier to perform thermal calculations.
