When purchasing tube-fin heat exchangers, it is necessary to compare structural forms, fin parameters, and material combinations. The GCSR-42 model offers two basic configurations: copper tube with aluminum fins and stainless steel tube with aluminum fins. Fin spacing options include 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, and 3.0 mm.
Taking waste heat recovery in a drying line as an example, the required air temperature difference between inlet and outlet is no less than 25°C, with an ambient temperature of -20 to +60°C and relative humidity below 80%. A fin spacing of 2.0 mm is suitable for clean, low-humidity conditions, while 3.0 mm facilitates cleaning and adapts to dust-laden airflow. During procurement, on-site humidity and dust concentration should be compared to select the appropriate spacing.
Before selection, at least confirm the inlet temperatures, flow rates, allowable pressure drops of the hot fluid and cold fluid, as well as the ambient temperature and humidity. For the GCSR-42 at a given flow rate, pressure drop increases with fin density, requiring a trade-off comparison with fan energy consumption.
After shutdown, first cut off the power supply and wait until the surface temperature drops to ambient temperature before proceeding. Avoid damaging the fins during cleaning; the use of a soft-bristle brush or low-pressure air flow is recommended.
