However, these biomass-fueled boilers still produce black smoke when burning, and they also require dust removal equipment for treatment. Due to the high dust removal efficiency of baghouse dust collectors and their ability to meet emission standards, most biomass boilers choose to be equipped with baghouse dust collectors to collect smoke and dust.
We know that biomass boiler fuels are divided into two categories: one is mainly wood chip pellet fuel: wood chip pellet fuel, sawdust pellet fuel, straw pellet fuel, etc. The second category is mainly straw crops, forming block product fuels: such as straw briquette fuel, peanut shell briquette fuel, furfural residue briquette fuel, etc. When biomass boilers burn these fuels, it is inevitable that there will be unburned sparks in the exhaust flue. When baghouse dust collectors handle these smoke and dust, if measures are not taken to prevent sparks from entering the baghouse dust collector, these sparks can easily burn the bags, causing unnecessary losses.
Therefore, when installing biomass boiler baghouse dust collectors, one should not take shortcuts. Full consideration must be given to the design of the settling device to avoid sparks entering the baghouse dust collector and causing bag combustion! It is necessary to install a spark arrester or a cyclone dust collector for primary dust removal to intercept sparks in the smoke and dust. Second, full consideration must be given to the condensation phenomenon caused by the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor! The dust collector should be insulated. Third, because the smoke and dust particles are light and not easy to clean, the filtration velocity should not be too high, and the spacing between bags should be larger than in other working conditions!
Thus, the effective measure to prevent bag burning in biomass boiler baghouse dust collectors is to install a spark arrester in front of the baghouse dust collector inlet.
