In the heat transfer oil circulation systems of chemical reactors, aerospace test benches, and scientific research equipment in higher education institutions, flange-type electric heating tubes are installed immersively to directly heat the medium. Their structural reliability and maintenance convenience are often more worthy of attention than a single power specification. The FLG-45 model is designed for such scenarios, with a rated voltage of 220V and power ranging from 1kW to 4kW, corresponding to an immersed length in oil from 230mm to 845mm. The overall length increases with power, with dimension A ranging from 307mm to 922mm, and dimension B being the effective heating length of the immersed section. Users can select the model based on oil tank depth and mounting flange specifications.
Strap-on electric heaters are attached to the outer wall of the tank, resulting in high thermal resistance, noticeable heating lag, and unsuitability for equipment that already has insulation layers. In-line pipe heaters require cutting the pipeline for series connection, involving extensive modification work. The FLG-45 uses a flange plate for fixation, with the electric heating tube bundle immersed in the medium for direct heat exchange, achieving higher thermal efficiency. During disassembly, the tube bundle can be extracted simply by loosening the flange bolts, facilitating periodic cleaning of coke deposits and replacement. Compared with bare-tube heaters of the same power, the flange-type structure isolates the wiring chamber from the medium, providing better protection and making it suitable for long-term oil circulation conditions.
During installation, ensure that the immersed section is fully submerged in oil to avoid dry burning; the working voltage tolerance shall not exceed 1.1 times the rated value. The wiring chamber must be reliably grounded, and the flange gasket should be oil-resistant rubber or spiral-wound metal gasket selected according to the medium temperature. This model can be applied to the heating of oil tanks and circulation systems in aerospace, ordnance industry, chemical industry, and scientific research and production laboratories of higher education institutions.
