The QHL-105 shell-and-tube heat exchanger is suitable for heating and cooling media in chemical, pharmaceutical, and other process sections. In on-site operation and maintenance, correctly judging operating status and promptly handling abnormalities are key to ensuring heat exchange efficiency.
When the heat exchange outlet temperature drops by more than 5°C from the initial operating value, or the shell-side pressure drop increases by more than 15%, scaling on the tube bundle can be preliminarily judged. At this time, shutdown inspection should be arranged, and the cleaning cycle should be confirmed in combination with the water quality report.
If the chloride ion concentration in the medium exceeds 200 mg/L, it is recommended to use a duplex steel tube bundle to reduce the risk of stress corrosion. During the selection stage, the medium composition and temperature must be checked to ensure material applicability.
When the medium temperature reaches the process setpoint, the control system adjusts the output power of the electric heater through PID calculation based on the temperature sensor signal, achieving temperature control for the resistive load and maintaining a stable outlet temperature.
On-site operation and maintenance personnel should record the inlet and outlet temperatures, pressures, and flow rates every shift, and compare them with the design parameter trends. If a reduced temperature difference or abnormal pressure difference is found, scaling or leakage should be investigated promptly.
