In the acid and alkali storage tank area of a chemical plant, the medium temperature needs to be maintained between 40 and 60°C year-round. Conventional steam coils are prone to corrosion, and electric heat tracing tapes can cause localized overheating. The JRQ-90 industrial electric heater, however, adopts an immersion design and can be directly installed on the side wall of the tank. Its thermal efficiency remains stable above 92%, reducing the intermediate heat exchange steps compared with indirect heating solutions.
Steam heating relies on boilers and piping networks, and carries risks of condensate discharge and winter freezing blockage; ordinary electric heating tubes have a high surface load and are prone to scaling in viscous liquids. The JRQ-90 industrial electric heater controls the surface load below 2.5W/cm² and, with a detachable anti-corrosion sleeve, allows maintenance personnel to withdraw the core for inspection or replacement without draining the tank. A double seal is provided between its wiring cavity and medium cavity, with a protection rating of IP65, making it suitable for outdoor or humid workshops.
First, rated voltage and power matching: this model offers 380V three-phase or 220V single-phase options, with power ratings from 6kW to 90kW. The site should confirm the distribution cabinet capacity and cable cross-section. Second, temperature control interface: the equipment can be equipped with a constant-temperature control cabinet, supporting PT100 or K-type thermocouple input, with temperature control accuracy up to ±1°C, and automatically cutting off the heating circuit when overheated. Third, corrosion protection level: for highly corrosive liquids, the heating tube outer sleeve can be optionally made of 316L stainless steel or PTFE coating, and the flange gasket is recommended to be replaced with PTFE or fluororubber material according to the medium.
In pickling tanks, electroplating tanks, or chemical reactor jackets, ensure the heater is fully immersed, and interlock shutdown when the liquid level is below the heating zone. Check the tightening status of the wiring terminals once a month, and measure the insulation resistance every quarter; when it is lower than 2MΩ, drying treatment should be carried out. Compared with a plate heat exchanger solution of the same power, this equipment requires no additional circulation pump or piping, occupies less space, and is suitable for retrofit projects or sites with limited space.
