At chemical or oil platform sites, engineers must first confirm whether the area explosion-proof rating matches the heater marking. The FBR-38 stainless steel explosion-proof heater has an explosion-proof marking of Exd IIB T4 Gb, suitable for locations with IIB class, T4 temperature group flammable gases. If hydrogen or acetylene and other IIC class gases are present on site, a higher explosion-proof rating product is required. The equipment housing adopts a flameproof structure, with the wiring cavity and heating cavity independently sealed, and the protection rating reaches IP65, capable of withstanding outdoor rain and dust environments.
Heating power must be comprehensively calculated based on medium flow rate, initial temperature, target temperature, and heat loss. The FBR-38 supports 220V or 380V rated voltage, with a power range of 1 to 30kW. For forced circulation systems, it can be estimated by the formula P=Q×ρ×Cp×ΔT/3600, with a 10% to 15% margin reserved. Note: when voltage fluctuation exceeds ±10%, it is recommended to install a voltage stabilizer to avoid affecting the service life of the heating element.
The heating tube and housing are made of 316L stainless steel, suitable for temperatures not exceeding 300°C, and can withstand corrosion from weak acid and alkali media. Installation methods can be flange or threaded fixation, and the flange specifications must match the on-site interface. If the medium is a highly corrosive liquid, the annual corrosion rate of 316L in that medium should be evaluated, and a more corrosion-resistant alloy should be selected if necessary. During installation, ensure the heater is fully immersed in the medium to avoid dry burning.
The equipment can integrate temperature sensors and overheat protection switches, feeding signals back to the control system for automatic adjustment. It is recommended to pair with an explosion-proof junction box and armored thermocouple for remote monitoring. For unattended stations, a low liquid level interlock can be added to prevent the heater from being exposed.
This product can be used for chemical reactor preheating, oil and gas pipeline tracing, offshore platform tank heating, and liquid heating in explosion-proof areas of mining zones. When selecting, provide the medium name, concentration, flow rate, and ambient temperature to calculate the heat load.
