In explosive gas environments, the terminal enclosure of ordinary electric heaters can easily generate electric sparks, causing safety accidents. So how does the stainless steel explosion-proof heating rod solve this problem?
The FBR-10 stainless steel explosion-proof heating rod adopts a flameproof terminal enclosure, with a protection rating of IP65 and a housing material of 304 stainless steel. It is suitable for explosive gas environments of Group IIA and IIB, T1~T4. Its terminal enclosure and heating element are isolated by sealing rings and threaded flameproof surfaces, which can effectively prevent internal sparks from escaping. Compared with ordinary heating tubes, this structure requires no additional isolation measures when used in explosion-proof areas.
Rated voltage is 220V or 380V, power range is 1~6kW, and it can be customized according to process requirements. The surface load is controlled within 2.5W/cm², providing uniform heating and extending service life. Insulation resistance is ≥50MΩ, and dielectric strength is 1500V/1min without breakdown. The operating temperature range is -20℃~300℃, suitable for heating various industrial media.
In explosion-proof areas such as chemical storage tanks and oil and gas pipelines, compared with steam coils, this heating rod requires no piping layout and offers flexible installation; compared with ordinary electric heaters, it has complete explosion-proof certifications and can be used in hazardous areas. However, note that the heated medium must not contain corrosive substances; otherwise, 316L stainless steel material must be selected.
When selecting, it is necessary to confirm the explosion hazard zone level, gas group, and temperature group to ensure the heating rod's explosion-proof rating matches. During installation, ensure the terminal enclosure faces upward to avoid water accumulation; fastening bolts should be tightened evenly in a diagonal sequence to ensure the flameproof surface gap meets standards. Regularly check the aging of sealing rings and replace them in time.
