When a heat pipe heat exchanger is used in acid and alkali tanks, the shell material must be comprehensively determined based on medium concentration, temperature, and compatibility test data. Different media exhibit significantly different corrosion behavior toward pipe materials. During selection, the test results under actual operating conditions should be used as the basis to avoid the generation of non-condensable gases during operation that could affect heat transfer performance.
The niter tank operating condition involves relatively high temperatures, so the temperature resistance grade of the shell material must be verified. When used in an environment with flammable gases, the wiring cavity can be optionally equipped with an explosion-proof structure, and a temperature controller can be built in according to control requirements for convenient local adjustment and protection.
For the flue gas side containing dust or prone to scaling, the heat exchanger should adopt a larger fin spacing and appropriately shorten the ash cleaning cycle to maintain stable heat exchange capacity. If the medium is replaced or the process temperature is adjusted, the original selection records must be rechecked to confirm that the temperature and corrosion resistance grades of the pipe material and the fin spacing are still applicable.
