What should be noted when using an air drying generator?
Air drying generator is widely used to provide dry air for the maintenance of large power equipment such as transformers and reactors. The supplied dry air ensures that the internal insulation of the power equipment is not affected by moisture, and maintenance personnel will not suffocate due to lack of oxygen when working inside the equipment. It is safer, more reliable, economical, and convenient than using bottled gas. Using a dry air generator for equipment maintenance is not affected by changes in external climatic conditions, especially for overnight operations. Simply seal the flanges and fill with dry air at 0.02~0.03 MPa, and transformers and reactors will not be damp without oil injection. This reduces the daily workload of oil extraction and injection, achieving the effect of shortening maintenance periods and improving maintenance quality.
Points to note when using the air drying generator:
1. After shutting down, open the valve at the bottom of the air storage tank to drain the air and water vapor inside the tank, then close the valve.
2. Open valve V5 to drain the gas inside the dryer. After draining, valve V5 must be closed, otherwise the adsorbent is prone to moisture, affecting the next use.
3. After long-distance transportation, please tighten the electrical components before use.
4. When it is necessary to connect the inflation pipeline to the transformer, the dew point temperature can be set to 80 degrees. At this time, the gas will bypass. After connecting the pipeline, open the valve at the transformer end, then adjust the dew point to the required temperature.
5. The normal operating pressure of the equipment is greater than 7-8 MPa. If it is below 7 MPa, the dew point may not reach the normal value.
6. During transportation, the red fixing device inside the compressor must be tightened. When the equipment is running, the red fixing device must be loosened, otherwise it may cause damage to the compressor.
