For the selection of the SL-28 sheathed heat exchanger, it is first necessary to confirm whether the operating environment is suitable. This product is not suitable for strongly acidic, strongly alkaline, or flammable and explosive environments. If there are special requirements, a different model must be selected separately. Design and selection personnel should verify item by item from three aspects: sheath dimensions, power matching, and interface specifications and piping system.
Sheath dimensions and power matching. The sheath outer diameter range is Φ8–Φ20 mm, the length is customizable from 200–6000 mm, the power range is 1 kW–30 kW, and the rated voltage is 220 V/380 V. During selection, the required power must be calculated based on the flow rate, initial temperature, target temperature of the medium being heated, and the heat dissipation conditions of the vessel, so as to avoid excessive power redundancy leading to an excessively high surface load, or insufficient power affecting the heating rate. The sheath length should match the vessel depth or pipe section length; being too long or too short will both affect heat exchange uniformity.
Interface specifications and piping system must be verified in advance. Flange specifications, thread standards, and nozzle orientation directly affect installation man-hours. During the selection stage, on-site piping diagrams or actual interface dimensions should be obtained to confirm the flange standard, sealing face type, and thread type. The nozzle orientation must be consistent with the on-site piping route to avoid forced adjustment during installation. If the interfaces do not match, adapters may need to be added, increasing the risk of leakage and construction costs.
Material and medium compatibility. The sheath material must match the corrosiveness of the medium. For neutral or weakly corrosive media, a conventional stainless steel sheath may be selected; if the medium contains specific components such as chloride ions, the risk of stress corrosion should be evaluated. During selection, the medium composition, concentration, and operating temperature must be provided to the supplier so as to confirm the suitability of the sheath material.
Electrical protection and wiring method. Select a 220 V or 380 V voltage level according to the on-site power supply conditions, and calculate the current and cable cross-sectional area. When multiple units are used in parallel, three-phase balance and starting current surges must be considered. The protection rating of the junction box should be suitable for the humidity and dust conditions of the installation environment. When necessary, a higher protection rating may be selected or a protective cover may be added.
