SUTE Electric Heating Tubes for Air Separation Units OverviewDali Electric recommends
An air separation unit is equipment that uses air as raw material, turns it into liquid through compression, circulation, and deep freezing, and then gradually separates oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and other inert gases from the liquid air through rectification. The electric heating tubes for air separation units are specially designed and manufactured for the air separation industry, featuring unique manufacturing processes, high temperature and high pressure resistance, and long service life.

Common Faults of SUTE Electric Heating Tubes for Air Separation Units1. Leakage (phenomenon: automatic circuit breaker or leakage protection switch trips, the heating tube cannot heat), accounting for over 90% of heater failures
2. No heating (internal heating wire burned out or broken wire at the junction box)
3. Heating tube cracking or breaking (cracks in the heating tube, corrosion and rupture of the heating tube, etc.)
3. Troubleshooting Methods
1. For leakage, confirm the leakage point. If it is the heating tube itself, it can be baked in an oven. If the insulation resistance cannot be restored, the heating tube may need to be replaced. If the junction box has water ingress, dry it with a heat gun. If the wire insulation is damaged, wrap it with tape or replace the wire.
2. If the heater does not heat, for an internal broken wire in the heating tube, it cannot be repaired and must be replaced. If the circuit or connector is open or loose, reconnect it.
3. For a cracked or broken heating tube, it must be replaced.
4.
UL Standard for Electric Heating TubesUL is the abbreviation for Underwriter Laboratories Inc. UL Safety Laboratory is the most authoritative in the United States and is the largest private organization engaged in safety testing and certification in the world. It uses scientific testing methods to study and determine whether various materials, devices, products, equipment, buildings, etc., pose hazards to life and property and the degree of hazard; it determines, writes, and publishes corresponding standards and materials that help reduce and prevent loss of life and property, while also conducting fact-finding investigations.
5. Overload Test for Electric Heating Tubes
The number of on-off cycles is 30. For elements with a rated power not exceeding 100W, the input power for the overload test is 1.3 times the rated power. For elements greater than 100W, the input power for the overload test is 1.27 times or 1.21 times plus 12W of the rated power, whichever is greater.
