The HDR-180 industrial electric heater is designed for a rated voltage of 380V with a three-phase star connection. Unit power ranges from 6kW to 30kW, protection rating is IP54, insulation resistance is no less than 20MΩ (cold state), and the dielectric withstand test is performed at 2000V/1min. The heating element is filled with magnesium oxide powder; high-temperature powder is suitable for process temperatures above 350°C, while medium-temperature powder is suitable for conditions below 350°C. During selection, the powder specification must be verified against the initial and final temperatures to achieve a balance between insulation performance and thermal conductivity. Lead wire length is configured according to the terminal box installation position, with a standard lead length of 1.5m.
The heater consists of a sheath tube, heating element, terminal chamber, and temperature control interface. The sheath tube material can be 304 or 316L stainless steel, with tube diameter and wall thickness determined by medium flow rate and corrosiveness. Temperature control supports external K-type or Pt100 sensing elements, combined with PID regulating instruments for segmented temperature control; the over-temperature protection circuit is set independently and cuts off the main circuit when activated. A thermal insulation section is provided between the terminal chamber and the heating zone to reduce terminal temperature rise. Before installation, verify the voltage and wiring method, and confirm that the lead wire allowance meets on-site wiring requirements.
This model is suitable for tank tracing, pipeline preheating, reactor jacket circulation heating, and acid/alkali tank insulation. For horizontal installation, the heating zone should be fully immersed in the medium; for vertical installation, ensure the minimum liquid level is above the effective heating section. Periodically check the sheath tube for scaling and check insulation resistance; when scaling thickness affects heat transfer efficiency, cleaning should be scheduled. Maintenance work must be performed after power is disconnected and the element has cooled; after reassembly, verify the phase sequence according to the original wiring method.
