In process industries such as chemical and pharmaceutical, design and selection engineers often encounter fluid media that need to meet both heating and cooling requirements, while ordinary heat exchange equipment, due to structural limitations, causes large temperature control deviations and frequent maintenance. The SL-28 sheathed hot and cold exchanger adopts an integrated structure of metal sheath and electric heating element, aiming to provide a switchable heat exchange solution for heating or cooling fluid media.
The sheath material of this exchanger is stainless steel 304 or 316L, the heating element is nickel-chromium alloy, and the insulating filler is modified magnesium oxide. Rated voltage is 220V or 380V, power range is 1.5kW to 9kW, sheath outer diameter is Φ12mm to Φ20mm, and length is 200mm to 1500mm. Design pressure is 1.0MPa, working temperature range is -20℃ to 300℃. Connection forms can be threaded G1/2 to G2 or flange DN25 to DN80. Protection class is IP54 (optional IP65).
Designers need to calculate the required power based on medium flow rate, inlet temperature, target temperature, and allowable pressure drop. For cooling conditions, the cooling water temperature and flow rate need to be confirmed; for heating conditions, the surface heat flux density needs to be checked. It is recommended to use a 316L sheath in corrosive media and regularly check the insulation resistance. During installation, ensure the sheath is fully immersed in the fluid to avoid dry burning.
Suitable for heating or cooling media such as water, oil, air, and neutral chemical solutions. Commonly used in reactor temperature control, hydraulic oil cooling, cleaning tank heating, and other scenarios. Not suitable for strong acids, strong bases, or flammable and explosive environments. If there are special requirements, separate selection is needed.
